Misha Belfer, Owner

Owner Mikhail Belfer is originally from Moscow. Known as Misha, he came to the United States to compete as a ballroom dancer. While living in San Francisco, he earned the title of U.S. World Representative (2000) and U.S. National Youth Ballroom Champion (2001).

Belfer was the first graduate of the Academy of Cosmetology Arts apprecnticeship program in Denver and then moved to New York City where he worked as a stylist in a bridal salon and perfected his dancing.

Belfer, an expert in women's hair styling and bridal/wedding up-dos, honed his talents in Europe and the United States, styling hair for many international dance competitions.

He is intent upon listening to his clients. "Communication is key," says Belfer. "My interest is in giving them what they want and giving each client 100 percent of my attention, spending time with them. At the end of the day, I want my clients to be happy, to be excited about their hair, and to feel beautiful."

Belfer is an International Platform Artist and Educator for GK Hair. His clients include some of the city's most prominent women and men.

Babette LeGaspe

Babette LeGaspe Cousineau is a graduate of Xenon International and has worked with recognized names in the industry like Charlie Price before joining to Salon Misha. She's a specialist in extensions to thicken and lengthen hair and to add exotic color. She's also an expert in straighteners and wedding and special occasion hair styling. She is the stylist for “American Bride” TV show airing on Comcast starring Nancy Fitzgerald. A Colorado native, Babette and her husband Victory have a precious son, Espen.

Sara Bicknell

Hair Colorist and Stylist Sara Bicknell comes to Salon Misha from Summit County where she was raised and graduated from Summit High School. The all-round creative talent (she plays guitar and sings blues and "folksy" songs), she's a perfectionist when it comes to color. "I create nice, nice blondes to beautiful chocolate brunettes," says Bicknell, who also styles men's, women's and children's hair. She received her training at the Academy of Cosmetology Arts. Yvette LeGaspe

Apprentice Yvette LeGaspe is a graduate of the Academy of Cosmetology Arts (Misha Belfer was the very first graduate of the same training academy). Besides being a creative at heart, Yvette is regarded as the bright spot in the salon, giving everyone a reason to smile. She's a graduate of TJ High School and grew up in southeast Denver. As the Brazilian Keratin blowout specialist at Salon Misha, Yvette has found her niche making clients look amazing and feel exceptionally good about the experience.

Krista Baldry

A Denver native, Krista Baldry had finished raising her brood of four kids and decided against returning to real estate as a broker. She was intrigued with the world of hairstyling and enrolled at Regency Beauty Institute. It came as no surprise to Krista that she loved the hair business. Enthusiastic and positive by nature, she claims to love everything about the industry—working with people, styling men's and women's hair and she's found that she's really good at color. Krista is in the salon Tuesday through Saturday.

Jessica Cameron

Jessica Cameron grew in the salon environment, so it was a given when she decided to pursue in her mother's footsteps. She earned her initial cosmetology education at Regency Beauty Institute and cruised through the program in record time due to her natural talent and devoted work ethic. She worked as an assistant at Posh, training under the top stylists. And then, proving you can go home again, she trained under her mother, a graduate of multiple advanced classes with the renowned Vidal Sassoon. Jessica is known for her keen fashion sense, high energy, color know-how and attendance to her clients' needs. In order to stay at the leading edge of hair and fashion, Jessica consistently seeks out new educational experiences to hone her skills. She pushes her own boundaries by studying new color and cutting techniques. Jessica also specializes in cutting, blow dry's, hair extensions, special occasion's updo's, and makeup design. Her forte is in color palette and application. She enjoys creating modern, creative and classic styles for her clients.
